Kathleen “Kathy” Mae Luedtke (nee Garriety), 78, formerly of Lomira, passed away peacefully at the St. Francis Terrace in Fond du Lac on Wednesday, May 12, 2021 with her family by her side.
Kathleen was born on October 21, 1942, to the late Edgar and Mary (nee Lavarda) Garriety. On July 13, 1963, she was united in marriage to Joel Luedtke at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Lomira.
Kathy grew up in Nasbro and graduated from Lomira High School. Her faith and family always came first. Kathy would take every opportunity to attend her children and grandchildren’s sporting events, and extracurricular activities. Kathy and Joel took pride in their family farm that they operated much of their marriage. She utilized her accounting skills to ensure business success. In her free time she enjoyed golf, throwing horseshoes and bowling. She enjoyed boating with her husband on their boat, Katie Joe. Kathy cherished her memories she made with Joel, and their family with their many travel adventures.
Spending many weekends at the Lake House, she was always sure to have baked up family favorites. Dinners were always delicious, as she was sure to add her special touch. Kathy was a loving wife and committed caregiver to her late husband Joel for many years. Her love and kind heart will be greatly missed by all.
Those Kathleen leaves behind to cherish her memory include her four children, Joelene (Tony) Batzler of Campbellsport, Brad (Sarah) Luedtke, Nick (Tracy) Luedtke, and Luke (KimberLee) Luedtke, all of Lomira; 15 grandchildren, Miranda (Steve) Neuy, Melanie (Jeremy) Wagner, Jill (Colton) Renderman, Jared Batzler, Alyssa, Abigail, Aaron, and Alex Luedtke, Lauren, Logan, and Jack Luedtke, Talan and Brody Luedtke, JadaLee Roloff and Evanston Saylor; six great-grandchildren, Damien and Danton Kenowski, Athena and Gwendolyn Neuy, Trayton and Benson Renderman; one sister, Janet Falk of Lomira; four sisters-in-law, Maebelle Luedtke of Lomira, Karen VanderVelde of Colorado, Liz Garriety of Lomira, and Donna (Ron) Sterr; many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.In addition to her parents, Kathleen is preceded in death by her husband, Joel Luedtke; a brother, Edward Garriety; parents-in-law, Harvey and Dorothea (nee Nebel) Luedtke; three sisters-in-law, Diane Luedtke, Darlene (Walter) Gampka, Denese (Casey) Byington; three brothers-in-law, Randy Luedtke, Leon Luedtke, and Richard Falk; and a niece, Tracy Falk
.A Memorial Mass in remembrance of Kathleen will be held on Wednesday, May 26, 2021 at 12:00 p.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 699 Milwaukee St., Lomira.
The family will greet relatives and friends at the church on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until 11:45 a.m.
In lieu of flowers a memorial fund will be established.
The family would like to thank St. Francis Terrace staff for their continued care for the past two years. We would also like to thank St. Agnes Hospice for the support and care in her last days.
