Kathleen L. Rinzel, a town of Wayne resident for 33 years, passed away on Saturday, July 15, 2006 at SynergyHealth St. Joseph’s Hospital in the town of Polk at the age of 64.
She was born on August 16, 1941 in Milwaukee, the daughter of the late Lawrence and Florence (Batzler) Rinzel, Sr. She was a graduate of Mt. Mary College and was a former history teacher at Sussex-Hamilton School District until retirement.
Kathleen was a member of St. Kilian Catholic Church in St. Kilian and the Ladies Sodality. She was very patriotic and supported our troops by letter writing. Kathleen loved gardening and making counted cross stitch items for her nieces and nephews.
Survivors include two brothers, Lawrence (Lynn) Rinzel, Jr. of Fond du Lac and Joseph (Catherine) Rinzel of the town of Wayne; two sisters, Maureen (Steven) Hein and Rosemary (Alton) Schrauth both of the town of Wayne, 16 nieces and nephews; dear friends, Rosemary Link of Milwaukee and Jim and Mary Schuldenberg of Menomonee Falls, other relatives and many more friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Kathleen was held at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 19, 2006 at St. Kilian Catholic Church, N189 County Road W, Campbellsport (St. Kilian). Father Jerome Rinzel and Father James Jaeger concelebrated and burial was at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday in the parish cemetery.
Relatives and friends called on Wednesday at the church from 4:00 p.m. until the time of services.
