Kathleen “Kathy” R. Rochon, 60, of West Bend, found peace on Saturday, November 25, 2023.
She was born on December 21, 1962, to the late William and Mary (nee Pesczek) Rochon in Milwaukee, WI. Kathy grew up in Milwaukee until the age of 12 when the family moved to the Town of Farmington. Kathy attended the Kewaskum School District where she graduated high school in 1981. After high school, Kathy attended Moraine Park Technical College and obtained degrees in Psychology, Sociology, and Communications, as well as her CNA License.
Kathy was known for her loving and caring nature. She worked primarily in the healthcare field taking care of others and their loved ones. In addition to her work in healthcare, Kathy and her sister, Jean Thiel, formed Belonger Corporation in the early 2000s. Belonger is Wisconsin’s only woman and American Indian-owned mechanical contracting company. Outside of her working life, Kathy was also a member of St. Andrew Lutheran Church in West Bend.
When Kathy wasn’t working, she was spending time with her family, friends, and animals. Kathy was a loving and devoted mother, and she never missed a chance to talk about her children. She often said they were her “greatest accomplishment in life”. Kathy was also a lifelong music, nature, and animal enthusiast. She was a passionate equestrian and had a very special connection with her horses Handy, Honey, and Mariah. She also shared this bond with her dog, Cooper, who never left her side.
Kathy will be missed by all who knew her.
Those Kathy leaves behind to cherish her memory include her two children, Jaclyn (Colten) Fay and Collin Horlamus; two sisters, Barb (Randy) Smith and Jean (Brad) Thiel; two brothers, Bill Rochon and Jim (Michelle) Rochon; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents.
