Kennart O. Maeder, age 58, of West Bend, passed away on July 18, 2012 at his residence.
He was born on March 21, 1954 in Ulm, Germany to Clifford and Rosemarie (nee Preiss) Maeder. Ken graduated from West Bend West High School in the class of 1972. He served his country honorably in the U.S. Air Force.
For the past 40 years, Ken was an employee of Actuant: Weasler Engineering. He enjoyed hunting, ice fishing, race cars, music, and he especially loved spending time with his grandchildren.
Ken is survived by his special love, Sharon Lincoln; his three children, Megan (Nick) Hraban of Juneau, Cody (Beth Kaiser) Maeder of Eden, and Casey (fiancAC., Nick Averbeck) Maeder of Eden; two and a half grandchildren, Dakota Hraban, Maverick Hraban, and a special little girl to come; his parents, Clifford and Rosemarie Maeder of West Bend; two sisters, Sonja (John) Lawrence of West Bend and Gail (Joseph) Smith of West Bend; two brothers, Steven (Tia) Maeder of Madison and Brent (Vera) Maeder of Kewaskum; other family members include, Mark (Jill) Grosskreutz and family, Jennifer Gates and family; Melissa Theriault and family; Michele Dollar and family; Sharon's brother, Paul (Mavis) Pfister and family; aunts; uncles; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents.

A memorial service in remembrance of Ken will be held on Saturday July 21st at 1:00 pm at the Myrhum ~ Patten Funeral Home, 1315 W. Washington St. West Bend. Rev. Eric Kirkegaard from Peace United Church of Christ in Kewaskum will officiate. Visitation will be Saturday at the funeral home from 11:00 am until the time of the service. Inurnment of his cremated remains will be in Washington County Memorial Park.
