Kenneth H. “Kenny” Campbell, 61, of Tampa Bay, Florida, formerly of Kewaskum, passed away on Friday, August 22, 2008, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in the town of Polk.
He was born on March 24, 1947, in West Bend, the son of Sylvester “Bud” and Ruth (Koenig) Campbell. Kenny had made his home in Tampa Bay for 20 years. He was an avid Tampa Bay Buccaneer and Wisconsin Badger fan. Kenny enjoyed playing sheepshead, cribbage and poker. He loved spending time with his family and friends and gardening. Kenny will be deeply missed by his family, his friends and by all who knew him.
Survivors include his mother, Ruth Campbell of Kewaskum; a sister, Judy Campbell of Kewaskum; a brother-in-law, Richard Klug of Cedarburg; his aunt, Ruth Senn of West Bend; nieces and nephews, Michele (Jason) Oertel, Kim (Shawn) Gahan, Michael Klug, Alex Roeske, Ashley Roeske, Logan Oertel, Coleton Oertel and Carter Oertel; special friends, Lindy, Peggy, Connie, Mel and Charlene, other relatives and friends.
Kenny was preceded in death by his father and a sister, Kari Klug.
A Memorial Mass for Kenny was held at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, August 25, 2008, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 331 Main Street in Kewaskum with Father Edwin Kornath officiating.
The family received visitors on Monday at the church from 4:00 p.m. until the time of Mass.
Kenny’s wish was to have his body donated to science.
