Kenneth “Digger” G. Jagow, 88, a resident of Hope Senior Living in Lomira, passed away on Tuesday, May 30, 2017.

Digger was born on June 17, 1928, in Lomira, the son of the late Ben and Rose (nee Wolf) Jagow.

Digger graduated from Lomira High School in 1946.  He served in the United States Army in 1951 until 1952 spending 18 months stationed in Germany.  Digger was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Lomira, Bintzler-Waehler American Legion Post 347 in Lomira, Lomira Sportsmen’s Club, and a 30 year member of the Lomira Fire Department. He was also awarded the 2007 Outstanding Citizen Award from the Lomira Area Chamber of Commerce.  Digger enjoyed woodworking, trap shooting, photography, and traveling.

Digger was employed by Kietzer’ Inc., O.H. Kindt Cabinet Shop and in the woodworking department at Exeter Machine Shop until his retirement in 1990.  After retirement, he worked part time at Lomira Auto.

Those Digger leaves behind to cherish his memory include a nephew, James (Cindy) Gaffney; two nieces, Mary (Paul) Krause and Pat (Paul) Levandowski; a special friend, Helen Koene, cousins, other relatives, and good friends.

In addition to his parents, Digger was preceded in death by a sister, Marion (Donald) Gaffney.

A Memorial Service for Digger will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, June 2, 2017, at Trinity United Methodist Church, 300 Church St., in Lomira with Rev. Rom Pegram officiating.

The family will greet relatives and friends at the church on Friday from 4:00 p.m. until the time of service.  Inurnment will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, June 5, 2017, at Shrine of Rest Mausoleum in Fond du Lac.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Lomira Fire Department and EMS Equipment Fund are appreciated.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to the staff at both Hope Health & Rehabilitation and Hope Senior Living for all the compassionate care Digger received.
