Kevin J. Biertzer

Kevin J. Biertzer, age 54 years, of West Bend was called home to be with the Lord on December 6, 2024, at his home surrounded by his loving family and friends after his courageous battle with cancer.

Kevin was born on May 5, 1970, in West Bend to James and Mary Biertzer (nee Blazel).  He was united in marriage to Stacy Kissinger on October 13, 2001, in West Bend.

Kevin graduated from West Bend West High School in 1988.  He worked for various construction companies, including Schmitz Ready Mix and CG Schmidt, where he retired from in 2009.  Kevin was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting and fishing.  He coached his sons’ sports and cheered them on in baseball and wrestling. He was a craftsman working on and remodeling his house and cabin.  And, of course, always a Packer and Brewer fan.  Most of all he cherished his time with his friends and family.

Those Kevin leaves behind to cherish his memory include his wife, Stacy; two sons, Casey Biertzer and Cody Biertzer; mother, Mary Biertzer; two brothers, Daniel Biertzer and Bruce (Gena) Biertzer; mother-in-law, Mary Kissinger (nee Ertl); sister-in-law, Amy (Nick) Niedzwiecki; and brother-in-law, Toby (Tina) Kissinger; dear cousins, Lisa (Ralph) Schmidt, Allison Schmidt, and Courtney “Sparky” Schmidt.

He is further survived by nieces and nephews, Kadin (Chelsea) Davis, Travis Biertzer, Callie (Jacob) Bickert, Cole Kissinger, Cassandra Kissinger, Casey Ahlm, Caelyn Niedzwiecki, Avery Niedzwiecki; dear friends, Don (Marcia) Tearney and their daughters, Janessa and Maiya; Ryan (Kristie) Mueller, Joe (Tami) Schrank, and Ken (Debbie) Towne; canine companion, Chance Biertzer; and many aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends.

Kevin was preceded in death by his father, James Biertzer; father-in-law, William “Fuzz” Kissinger; and canine companions, Abby and Ozzy; and other loved family members.

VISITATION:  Kevin’s family will greet relatives and friends on Thursday, December 12, 2024, from 3:00 p.m. until 5:15 p.m. at Myrhum-Patten Funeral & Cremation Service – 1315 W Washington St. – West Bend, WI  53095.

SERVICE:  A Funeral Service in remembrance of Kevin will take place at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home with Father Jacob Strand officiating.
