Kevin R. Miller, age 39, of West Bend, found peace on Thursday, February 20, 2014 while at the Kathy Hospice where he had been surrounded by many friends and family who loved him.
Kevin was born on March 15, 1974 in Baraboo to Larry Miller and Sharon Cross. He graduated from Baraboo High School in 1992 and began his career working at Sysco Foods in Baraboo. Kevin eventually transferred to Sysco Foods in Jackson where he began his driving career and later transferred to Roundy's where he spent the remainder of his career. Kevin was an avid Kansas City Chiefs fan and loved playing football on the semi-pro team the "Mayville Maddawgs". He had a passion for weight training and body building. He spent countless days at the YMCA in West Bend where he began his love for Mixed Martial Arts. Kevin was a very kind-hearted person who touched many lives with his warm personality and great sense of humor. His smile could light up the room and he made friends wherever he went.
Kevin is survived by his father, Larry (Suzy Gray) Miller; his mother, Sharon (David) Cross; his four children whom he adored, Katie, Alexandra, Cody, and Tristin Miller; his siblings, Erica (Sam) Gallo, Melissa (Mike) Griepentrog, Danny (Bobbi) Miller, Larry (Sadaena) Miller Jr., and Tammy Miller; his great uncle, Harold (Joann) Miller; his cousins, David (Terri) Miller and Sheryl Miller; his close friend and former wife, Stacy Barnhart; his significant other, Annie Griggs; his best friends, Jason Schultz and Doug Hach; many other aunts, uncles, and cousins; special nieces and nephews; close relatives and friends.
Kevin was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Raymond Miller; his paternal grandmother, Norma (Ralph) Bindl; his maternal grandfather, Chester Cuff; his maternal grandmother, Lorraine Cuff; a special brother-in-law, Tony Shukala; his uncles, Jim and John Miller; and his great aunt Leona Montayne.
Funeral Services will be on Friday, February 28, 2014 at 4:00 pm at the Myrhum-Patten Funeral Home (1315 W. Washington St. West Bend). Visitation will be at the funeral home on Friday from 12:00 pm until the time of service at 4:00 pm. Burial will be in St. Joseph Catholic Parish Cemetery in Baraboo, WI on Saturday, March 1, 2014 at 1:00 pm.
Memorials will be used to assist in the care of Kevin's children and are greatly appreciated by the family.
