Krista R. Kidd, age 18, of West Bend, passed away suddenly on February 9, 2008, as a result of injuries sustained in an auto accident.
She was born on April 7, 1989 in Milwaukee to Michael and Julie (nee Copp) Kidd. Krista was a 2007 graduate of West Bend East High School, and was currently attending U.W.W.C. Through her studies she hoped to become a pediatric nurse, because she enjoyed working with children.
Krista enjoyed writing poetry. She loved to smile and always had a hug for everyone. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
Krista is survived by her parents, Michael and Julie Kidd of West Bend; a sister, Kellie Kidd, and a brother Ian Kidd, both at home; maternal grandparents, Norman and Candy Copp of Newland, NC; Maternal grandmother, Renata Podjaski of West Bend; paternal grandparents, Norman and Ethel Kidd of Jackson; four aunts, Candy (David) Siefert of Sheboygan, Laurel (Brad) Rose of Mequon, Pam (Dave) Nunez of Jackson, and Lisa Kidd of Fond du Lac; four uncles, David Copp of Willoughby, OH, Gary (Khristie) Copp of Oldsmar, FL, Russ (Lorelei) Kidd of Grafton, and David (Alicia) Kidd of Glenwood, IL; Special friend TJ Marker of Federalsburg, MD; many cousins, other relatives and friends.
Her maternal grandfather, Edward Podjaski, preceded her in death.
Funeral services to remember Krista will be held on Thursday February 14th at 7:00 pm at St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church, West Bend (809 S. 6th Ave.). Rev. Jeff Dorth will officiate. Visitation will be Thursday at the church from 3:00 pm until the time of service. Burial will be on Friday at 11:00 am in Washington County Memorial Park.
