Kurtis “Kurt” Schmid, 60, passed away on Friday, December 10, 2021, at Aurora Hospital in Green Bay.
Kurtis was born on April 5, 1961, in West Bend, the son of the late Arthur Sr. and Verna (nee Johnson) Schmid. Kurt began working in his family’s business and eventually became the co-owner of Midcities Tool and Die in Barton. Kurtis enjoyed riding his motorcycle, participating in buckskinner encampments, going to Sandys Restaurant in Barton and eating breakfast with his brother and friends “the guys”.
Those Kurtis leaves behind to cherish his memory include his wife, Henrietta; his son, Brian (Nicki) Schmid; three grandchildren, Hannah, Noah, and Owen; four step-children, Jason Swift, Melissa Parker, Sara (Jeremy) Valentine, and Marshall Parker; two step-grandchildren, Krista and Brooke; two brothers, Kelly (Mary) Schmid and Kevin (Terri) Schmid; a sister-in-law, Debby Schmid; other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, Kurtis was preceded in death by a step-grandchild, Colton Michael Swift; a brother, Arthur “Art” Schmid Jr.; his nephew, Sam Schmid.
CELEBRATION OF KURT: A celebration of Kurt’s life will be held on Sunday, December 19, 2021, from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the Myrhum – Patten Funeral and Cremation Service, 1315 W Washington Street, in West Bend. Please wear your favorite Harley or Green Bay Packer attire.
