Laurie A. Schmidt, 53, of the town of Auburn, passed away on Monday, March 24, 2008, at Kathy Hospice in the town of Polk.
She was born on August 2, 1954, in Milwaukee, the daughter of Richard and Pam (Miller) Bonenfant, and on May 17, 1975, she was united in marriage to Dean Schmidt at St. Matthias Catholic Church in the town of Auburn.
Laurie was a member of St. Matthias Catholic Church in the town of Auburn and the Kewaskum Historical Society.
Survivors include her husband, Dean; four children, Jennifer Schmidt of the town of Auburn, Jody (Michael) Schulz of New Fane, Jessica (Nate) Barrington of Glenbeulah and Lee Schmidt of the town of Auburn; her mother, Pam Schaumberg of Fond du Lac; six brothers and sisters, Robert (Gail) Bonenfant and Mary Flitter both of West Bend, Ricky Bonenfant of Fond du Lac, Jim Bonenfant and Tom Bonenfant both of West Bend and Bill Bonenfant of Fond du Lac, a brother-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Laurie was preceded in death by her father.
Funeral services for Laurie was held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 27, 2008, at the Miller Funeral Home in Kewaskum. Father Edwin Kornath officiated and burial will be at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 17, 2008, in St. Matthias Catholic Cemetery in the town of Auburn.
Relatives and friends called on Thursday at the funeral home from 4:00 p.m. until the time of services.
