Lawrence H. “Larry” Hanks, 69, of the town of Lomira, passed away on Tuesday, December 25, 2012, at his home.
He was born on April 6, 1943, in West Bend, the son of the late Hiram and Marion (Heinrich) Hanks. Larry grew up farming with his family and spent many years driving truck for Omar Bakery, milk trucks and numerous years of OTR semi-driving. He will fondly be remembered for his love of fishing, hunting, camping and socializing with his family and friends. Larry was a good hearted man who always loved a good time.
Those Larry leaves behind to cherish his memory include three daughters, Sandy (Mike Sebald) Collier of Lomira, Julie (Charles) Bast of Milwaukee and Brenda Hanks of Fond du Lac; seven grandchildren, Craig (Jaclyn) and Cory Collier, Arial and Aaron Hanks, Bree Vanderwal and Sienna and Jacob Bast; five great-grandchildren, Jonathan, Kylie, Carter, Xavier and Kayleigh; a brother, Donald (Rosella) Hanks of Yakima, Washington, other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by a son, Timothy James Hanks.
Memorial services for Larry were held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 29, 2012, at the Kietzer-Miller Funeral Home in Lomira with Will Jewson officiating.
The family received visitors at the funeral home on Saturday from noon until the time of services.
