Leroy F. Kreutzer, age 77, of Waukesha, passed away Wednesday October 30, 2013 at his home.
He was born on December 12, 1935 in West Bend to the late Frank and Augusta (nee Schmidt) Kreutzer. Lee attended Holy Angles Grade School and graduated from West Bend High School in the class of 1954. In 1957 lee was united in marriage to Mary Griepentrog at St. Mary's Immaculate Conception Parish.
Lee worked at Briggs & Stratton for 35 years. After retiring he worked for Wackenhut Security, and also volunteered for the Waukesha Police Department for 15 years. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, and in his younger years owned a plane which he enjoyed flying.
He is survived by eight children, Terry Kreutzer of Jackson, Karen (Richard) Vanderheiden of Germantown, Linda (Sandy Minney) Kreutzer of West Bend, John (Brenda) Kreutzer of Waukesha, Dianne Kreutzer of West Bend, Kristine Lieven of West Bend, Steven Kreutzer of West Bend, and William Kreutzer of Jackson; 14 grandchildren, Brandon Kreutzer, Brianna Kreutzer, Dylan Hylton, Kaitlin Lieven, Abigail Lieven, Tani Blake, Jessica Bast, Amy Meifert, Charles Minney, Jaimee Minney, Shelly Ward, Kari Weber, Jody Krawl, and Charles Vanderheiden; four great-grandchildren, Pearl Bast, Graham Bast, Henry Meifert, and Lincoln Meifert; lee's former wife, Mary Kreutzer of West Bend, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother & sister-in-law, Robert & Jeanette Kreutzer; and grandson, Zachary Vanderheiden.
Funeral services in remembrance of Lee will be held on Monday November 4th at 7:00 pm at the Myrhum ~ Patten Funeral Home (1315 W. Washington St.). Deacon Mike Koebel of St. Frances Cabrini Church will officiate. Visitation will be at the funeral home Monday from 4:00 pm until the time of service. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery (Forest View Dr.). Memorials to the Washington County Humane Society are appreciated by the family.
