Lester G. "Buddy" Lorenz, Jr

Lester G. "Buddy" Lorenz Jr., age 72, of Big Cedar Lake, West Bend, was called home to be with his Lord, with his beloved Pearl by his side on Tuesday December 9, 2014 at the Aurora Medical Center-Hartford.

He was born on January 19, 1942 in Cleveland, OH to the late Lester and Wilma (nee Meunier) Lorenz Sr. and moved with his family to Theresa at an early age. Buddy graduated from Mayville High School in the class of 1960.

Buddy operated the bar his parents started called Les & Willy's in the Town of Herman (Hwy 33 & P) for several years before his 35 year career at Serigraph in West Bend, retiring in 2006.

Buddy was a member of Good Shepherd Ev. Lutheran Church and was a devoted reader of the Bible. He enjoyed traveling, which included trips to Alaska and Costa Rica, camping, and wintering in Seminole, FL. He also was a collector of many different types of puzzles.

He is survived by his loving companion, Pearl Zimmer and her family; two sons, Greg (Lisa) Lorenz of West Bend, and Mike Lorenz of West Bend; a granddaughter that captured his heart, Aria Rain Lorenz; a sister, Nancy (Kitt Thompson) Wiedmeyer of Theresa; two aunts, Florence May of Brookfield, and Mildred Meunier of Ocala, FL; former wife and friend, Cheryl Lorenz of Big Cedar Lake; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lester and Wilma; two sons, Brandon and Cory; a brother, Greg Lorenz; along with a brother-in-law, Walter Wiedmeyer.

Funeral services in remembrance of Buddy will be held on Tuesday December 16th at 6:00 pm at the Myrhum - Patten Funeral Home (1315 W. Washington Street) West Bend. Pastor Robert Hein will officiate. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Tuesday from 3:00 pm until the time of service. Burial will be in Washington County Memorial Park on Wednesday at 11:30 am.
