Lillian H. Stucke

Lillian H. Stucke, 101, of Juneau, formerly of Lomira, passed away on Sunday, July 24, 2011, at Clearview Long Term Care and Rehabilitation in Juneau.


She was born on December 22, 1909, in Lomira, the daughter of the late Herman and Emma (Drehmel) Unferth, and on April 8, 1933, she was united in marriage to Ernest Stucke at Salem Church in Lomira. Ernest preceded Lillian in death on February 5, 1986.


Lillian taught school in a one room school house until Ernest and Lillian started their family. When the children were born, Lillian was at home with the children. Lillian loved to cook and bake. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Lomira.


Those Lillian leaves behind to cherish her memory include two daughters, Diane (David) Pies of Rochester, New York and Nancy (Rev. George) Doebler of Knoxville, Tennessee; two daughters-in-law, Judy Stucke of Lomira and Patricia Stucke of North Fond du Lac; ten grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.


In addition to her husband and parents, Lillian was preceded in death by two sons, Dennis and Ralph Stucke; an infant daughter, Roseann Jane; four brothers, Arthur, Fred, Ben and Reuben Unferth and two sisters, Irene Priest and Agnes Wandrey.


Funeral services for Lillian were held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 27, 2011, at Trinity United Methodist Church, 300 Church Street in Lomira. Her son-in-law, Rev. George Doebler, officiated and burial followed the service in Salem Cemetery in Lomira.


Relatives and friends called on Wednesday at the church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services.


The Kietzer-Miller Funeral Home in Lomira was entrusted with Lillian’s arrangements.


Lillian’s family extends their heartfelt appreciation to Beth and her staff at Clearview for the compassionate and outstanding care provided to Lillian.
