Lloyd J. Laatsch, age 54, of Kewaskum, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, August 7, 2006 at his home.
He was born on July 25, 1952 in Sheboygan County, the son of Lawrence H. and Marie (Uelmen) Laatsch, and on November 25, 1972, he was united in marriage to Mary Marx at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Kewaskum.
Lloyd was employed by Kemps Cedarburg for nearly 34 years and was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Kewaskum. He was very involved with the Holy Trinity Athletic Association for many years and was also a Little League coach.
He was a loving husband, a devoted father and grandfather and a good friend to many. He enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren. Some of his favorite pastimes included hunting, camping, gardening and woodworking. He will be deeply missed by his wife, his family and by all who knew him.
Survivors include his wife of 33 years, Mary; four sons, Aaron (Amy) Laatsch, Adam Laatsch, Andrew (Michelle) Laatsch and Anthony Laatsch all of Kewaskum; five grandchildren, A.J., Britney, Alexis, Cyle and Olivia Laatsch; his mother, Marie Laatsch of Boltonville; four brothers, Donald Laatsch of Boltonville, Eugene (Bette) Laatsch of Phoenix, Arizona, Merle Laatsch of New Fane and Leon (Chris) Laatsch of Hartford; seven sisters, Myrna Laatsch of Boltonville, Marilyn (David) Jung of Kewaskum, Eileen (Gerald) Yearling of Boltonville, Karen Radtke of West Bend, Ruth (Edwin) Boomer of Kewaskum, Carolyn (Walter) Landvatter of West Bend and Shirley (Mike) Ryan of Port Washington, other relatives and many friends.
Lloyd was preceded in death by his father; a sister-in-law, Barbara Laatsch; his parents-in-law, Mixie and Eleanor Marx and a brother-in-law, James Marx.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Lloyd was held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 10, 2006 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 331 Main Street, Kewaskum. Father Edwin Kornath officiated and burial was on Friday at 10:00 a.m. in the parish cemetery.
Relatives and friends called at the church on Thursday from 4:00 p.m. until the time of services.
