Lois E. Bunkelman, 82, of Kewaskum, passed away on Tuesday, May 31, 2011, at Heritage Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Port Washington.
She was born on November 8, 1928, in West Bend, the daughter of the late Arthur and Adela (Moldenhauer) Klukas, and on September 2, 1950, she was united in marriage to Byron Bunkelman at St. Lucas Evangelical Lutheran Church in Kewaskum. Byron preceded Lois in death on January 27, 1992.
Lois was a member of St. Lucas Evangelical Lutheran Church in Kewaskum and the Ladies Guild. She enjoyed many outings and dinners with other members of the Lois Club.
Those Lois leaves behind to cherish her memory include two daughters, JoAnn (John) Reysen of Fredonia and Janet Snow of Beloit; a sister, Leah (Glenn) Hartmann of Kewaskum; seven grandchildren, Christopher (Theresa) Reysen, Jason (Danielle) Reysen, Nathan Reysen, Noah Reysen, Meghan (Christopher) Reysen-Zachman, Adam (Julie) Snow and Amy Snow; four great-granddaughters, Hannah, Abigail and Mya Reysen and Kaylee Snow; two nephews, Mark Hartmann and Matthew (Alissa) Hartmann; a niece, Andrea Slane; two great-nieces, Elise and Anna Slane, other relatives and friends.
In addition to her husband and parents, Lois was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Jean and a dear friend, August “Augie” Koch.
Funeral services for Lois were held at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, June 3, 2011, at St. Lucas Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1417 Parkview Drive in Kewaskum. Rev. Troy Swenson officiated and burial was 9:00 a.m. on Saturday in Lutheran Memorial Park in Kewaskum.
Relatives and friends called on Friday at the church from 3:00 p.m. until the time of services.
Memorials to St. Lucas Evangelical Lutheran Church are appreciated.
The Miller Funeral Home in Kewaskum was entrusted with Lois’ arrangements.
