Lois A. Romagna

Lois A. Romagna (nee Ellarson), 85, of Wauwatosa, passed away on September 7, 2022, at St. Camillus in Wauwatosa.

Lois was born on August 5, 1937, in Waukesha, the daughter of the late Richard and Alice (nee Able) Ellarson. Lois graduated from Mukwonago High School where she was the Homecoming Queen. Following High School, she attended Marquette University and graduated as a Dental Hygienist. In 1962, she was united in marriage to Herbert Klug. Together they raised two daughters, Susan and Lynda. In 1983, she was united in marriage to Dr. Alfred Romagna. Lois was very involved with her churches throughout her lifetime and she enjoyed Marquette Basketball, watching the Brewers and Packers, traveling, spending time with family and friends. She was a runner and ran the Al McGuire run several times. Lois would frequently go walking with friends (Julie) and other groups of people, she also enjoyed bowling, golfing, playing the piano and loved music. Lois was snowbird and spent winters in Florida with Fred. Later in life Lois participated in numerous activities at St. Camillus including the choir and every exercise class she could. She was a people pleaser and enjoyed doing things for others.

Those Lois leaves behind to cherish her memory include her two daughters, Susan (Steven) Kaphingst and Lynda (Corey) Robinson; seven stepchildren, Phil Romagna, Jeff (Liz) Romagna, Greg (Karen) Romagna, Scott Romagna, Cindy Friedlander, Lynn (Randy) Sprenger, Jim (Jennifer) Romagna; four grandchildren, Katy (Reed) Cartwright, Brian (Jenn) Kaphingst, Tyler Kaphingst, and C.J. Robinson; great-grandchildren, Sean, Avery, Declan, Melody, and Charlie; 47 step grandchildren and step great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents, Lois was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred and a sister, Carol (Bert) Nedoss.

VISITATION: Lois’ family will greet relatives and friends at St. Camillus East Tower Guardian Angel Chapel, 10100 W. Wisconsin Avenue, in Wauwatosa on Wednesday, September 14, 2022 from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m.

FUNERAL SERVICE: A service for Lois will be held at St. Camillus East Tower Guardian Angel Chapel on Wednesday, September 14th at 1:00 p.m. A private family entombment will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery in Milwaukee.
