Loraine L. Tepper, (nee Nitz), age 83, of West Bend, passed away Tuesday March 27, 2007 at Cedar Lake Health & Rehabilitation Center, West Bend.
She was born on June 8, 1923 in Milwaukee to the late Paul and Alma (nee Winkleman) Nitz and was united in marriage to LeRoy Tepper on February 10, 1947 in Milwaukee. Together they made their home in Milwaukee until moving to Kewaskum in 1969. Loraine worked in the office of the West Bend Company until 1987 when LeRoy and Loraine moved to the Wautoma Area. While there she became an active member of Hope Lutheran Church and also volunteered at the Wild Rose Library. In 2001 her husband passed away and Loraine moved to West Bend to be closer to her family. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, and reading.
Loraine is survived by her son, John (Marilyn) Tepper; two grandchildren, Sean and Stephanie Tepper; two sisters, Shirley Borkenhagen of Saukville, and Janette (Florian) Kurth of Milwaukee; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by a brother Raymond and his wife Mary; a brother-in-law, James Borkenhagen.
A memorial service in honor of Loraine's life will be held on Friday March 30th at 3:00 pm at Myrhum ~ Patten Funeral Home, West Bend. Rev. James Taylor of Emmaus Bible Church will officiate. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Friday from 2:00 pm until the time of Service. Cremation took place at Myrhum ~ Patten Funeral & Cremation Service and burial of Loraine's cremated remains will be in Lincoln Memorial Cemetery, Milwaukee.
