Lorene “Jo” Giese, 88, of Kewaskum, passed away on Friday, August 22, 2008, at Cedar Lake Health Care Center in the town of West Bend.
She was born on September 9, 1919, in Indiana, the daughter of the late Oliver and Emma (Miller) Fines, and on November 9, 1942, she was united in marriage to Paul Giese. Her husband preceded her in death on May 27, 2004.
Survivors include five children, James (Karen) Catozzi of Evansville, Paul (Debra) Giese of Reno, Nevada, Nancy (Jon) Reichel of Kewaskum, Beverly (David) Dittmar of Eagle River and Rose (Ray) Rustad of Amherst Junction; 17 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, a great-great-granddaughter, other relatives and friends.
In addition to her husband and parents, Jo was preceded in death by five brothers and three sisters.
A memorial service for Jo was held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, August 29, 2008, at North New Hope Church in the town of New Hope with Pastor John Poffinbarger officiating. Cremation took place and burial of the cremains was in Central Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in King.
The family received visitors at the church on Friday from noon until the time of services.
