Lori Jean Bartz, 54, of West Bend, found peace on Friday, August 30, 2013, after her 13 year struggle with cancer.
She was born on October 24, 1958 in Milwaukee. She married David Bartz, Sr. on December 20, 1980 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Milwaukee.
Lori was employed as a legal secretary at the Doherty Law Office in West Bend for the past 10 years. During her own struggle with cancer for the past 13 years, Lori was a Chemo Angel, volunteering, making quilts, sending cards and toys to children with cancer. She was the best wife and mother ever.
She is survived by her husband, David; three children, Amanda Jean Kreuser of Kewaskum, David Bartz, Jr. of West Bend, and Bonnie Jo Bartz of Menomonee Falls; three grandchildren, Brooke Lynn Kreuser, Trisha Victoria Kreuser, and Elizabeth Casey; a sister, Cheri Katzung of Milwaukee; other relatives and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Patricia Merkel.
A visitation in memory of Lori will be held on Saturday, September 7 from 11:00 am to 1:00 p.m. at the Myrhum - Patten Funeral Home, 1315 W. Washington St., West Bend.
