Lorraine Hartmann

October 30, 1925 — May 16, 2005

Lorraine Emily Henrietta Hartmann, (nee Deckliver), age 79, of West Bend, died Monday, May 16, 2005 at Froedtert Hospital.

She was born on October 30, 1925 to the late John and Irene (nee Gatzke) Deckliver in Beechwood, WI.

Lorraine loved her family and friends with all her heart; she was a loving home maker and enjoyed caring for her plants. Her greatest love was her Lord & Savior Jesus Christ. An avid Bible reader and prayer warrior, she was quick to acknowledge that her strength and comfort came from God especially during her 6-year courageous battle with cancer.

Lorraine was the loving wife of over 50 years to Lyle Hartmann; caring mother to Joan (Jim) Bertram of Campbellsport, Patricia (Rick) Bath of West Bend, and Daniel Hartmann of West Bend; and compassionate grandma of four, Joseph Bertram of West Bend, Jason (Dawn) Bertram of Campbellsport, Jennifer Wagner of Milwaukee, and Justin Bath of West Bend. She was further survived by her great-granddaughters and special Angels, Brianna and Kayla; a son-in-law, Chris (Heidi) Wagner and their daughter Bailey of West Bend; a brother, Willard Deckliver of Cascade; a brother-in-law, Arthur Mueller of West Bend; a cousin and special friend, Jean Dippel of Campbellsport; and many other relatives and friends.

Preceding her in death and preparing a place for her is her daughter, Janelle Wagner; sisters-in-law, Romell Deckliver, LaVern Mueller, and Mildred Hartmann; a brother-in-law, Wallace Hartmann; and parents-in-law, Clarence and Hilda Hartmann.

Special and wonderful care was given to Lorraine at Froedtert Hospital 4NT and Palliative Care, everyone at Froedtert who helped and comforted Lorraine and her family. There are not enough words to thank you for all that you did, especially Dr. Chitambar and also the Cedar Community Nurses. God bless you All.

A funeral service for Lorraine will be held on Friday, May 20, at 7:30 pm at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church (777 S. Indiana Ave. West Bend) with Rev. Richard Lauersdorf officiating. Visitation will be at the church on Friday from 3:30 pm until the time of service. A private burial will take place at Washington County Memorial Park.
