Lorraine E. Herzer, nee Ochowicz, 86, of West Bend, passed away Tuesday, September 25, 2007 at Kathy Hospice in the town of Polk.
She was born on December 12, 1920 in Milwaukee to the late Herman and Ida (nee Wiedenhoeft) Ochowicz. She was united in marriage to John R. Herzer on November 15, 1947 in Milwaukee. They lived in Milwaukee until moving to West Bend in April 1993.
Lorraine was a member of Pilgrim Ev. Lutheran Church. She was also a member of the Pilgrim Quilters and the Pilgrim Senior Pioneers.
Lorraine is survived by her husband, John; two sons, Terry Herzer of Milwaukee, and Mark (Kim) Herzer of Mukwonago; three grandchildren, Jamie, Jason, and Jonathan; two sisters-in-law, Irene Ochowicz of West Bend, and Jeanne Ochowicz of New Berlin; other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by four sisters, Evelyn Poznanski, Lucille Gleason, Dorothy Ochowicz, and Laona Ochowicz; and six brothers, William Ochowicz, Herman Ochowicz, Jr., Hilbert Ochowicz, Erwin Ochowicz, Edward Ochowicz, and Lester Ochowicz.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 27 at 11:00 a.m. at Pilgrim Ev. Lutheran Church, 462 Meadowbrook Dr., West Bend. Rev. Joseph Fisher will officiate and entombment will follow at Washington County Memorial Park, West Bend. Visitation will be at the church on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
