Lorraine E. Marsh, nee Shampo, age 88, of Big Cedar Lake, passed away on Monday, February 18, 2013 at Cedar Lake Health and Rehabilitation Center in the Town of West Bend.
She was born on September 3, 1924 in Wallace, MI to the late William and Elizabeth (nee Jardeen) Shampo. On April 23, 1944, Lorraine was united in marriage to William Marsh at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Milwaukee.
Bill and Lorraine built their home in Glendale and summered on Big Cedar Lake until moving to the lake full time in 1984.
Lorraine worked as a sales clerk for the Sears store in Bayshore Mall for 27 years, retiring in 1984.
She was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church, and the Sears retirement club.
She is survived by her husband, William Marsh of West Bend; a daughter, Judith (Dennis) Johnson of Kewaskum; two grandchildren, Laurie (Tom) O'Brien of Slinger and Dennis (Matt) Johnson of Madison; four great-grandchildren, Morgan O'Brien, Dylan O'Brien, Maddy Johnson, and Lauren Johnson; one sister, Donna Shampo of Niagara; a brother, Dr. Dale (Lucy) Shampo of Iron Mountain, MI; a sister-in-law, Geraldine Shampo of Niagara,; other relatives and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, William "Butch" Marsh; two brothers, Kenneth and Gerald.
A memorial Mass in remembrance of Lorraine will be held on Saturday, February 23rd at 1:00 p.m. at St. Lawrence Catholic Church (4868 HWY 175, Hartford). Rev. Davies Edassery will be the presider. Visitation will be at the church on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the Mass. Inurnment of Lorraine's cremated remains will be in St. Matthias Cemetery in Nabob.
