Louis Geidel of North Port, FL, formerly of Missouri, passed away, Wednesday, January 19, 2011.
He was born on January 27, 1929 in Parkston, SD to Fredrick and Alma Geidel. Louis was a United States Veteran, having served in the Air Force.
He is survived by his son, Bryan (Janet) Geidel of Chicago, IL; daughter-in-law, Beth Vanko; three grandsons, Joshua, Joseph and Jeremy; sister, Elaine (Doug) Koenig; brothers, Willard (Ruth) Geidel, Raymond (Liz) Geidel, Norman (Lucille) Geidel, and Ronald (Sharon) Geidel; brother-in-law, Virgil (Gloria) Weinreich; many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Geidel; son, Steven Geidel and brother, Reuben Geidel.
A Memorial Service in remembrance of Louis will be held on February 20th at 11:00 a.m. at St. Martin's United Church of Christ in Fillmore, WI with a luncheon to follow at Fillmore Turner Hall located across the street.
Memorials to fund a cemetery bench is appreciated by the family.
