Louise L. Demman

Louise L. Demman, age 101, passed away Thursday, January 1, 2009 at her home in Kewaskum.

She was born on May 16, 1907 in Elkhorn to the late John and Anna (nee Reesman) Umant. She was united in marriage to Peter Demman on Oct. 24, 1936 in Milwaukee. Louise enjoyed reading, knitting and crocheting. She liked to make Christmas ornaments, crafts, and she made everyone in her family an afghan. When she was younger, she belonged to a "kitchen band" that put on shows and did "mock weddings" for bridal showers. She also loved to camp at Del & Dolly's trailer.

Louise is survived by six children, Agnes Baumgartner, Elmer (Lorry) Demman, Virginia (Bud) Johnson, Donnette Beaudoin, Anita (Bob) Dahl and Darlene (Del) Kohn; 23 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; 20 great-great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Peter Demman; her daughter Lorraine (Florian) Luba; her son-in-law, August Baumgartner; her granddaughter, Kathy Johnson; and her granddaughter-in-law, Bonnie Luba.

A Visitation in honor of Louise will be held on Wednesday, January 7th at Myrhum-Patten Funeral & Cremation service (1315 W. Washington Street - West Bend) from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 1:00 p.m. Rev. Dan Schroeder of St. Mary's Immaculate Conception Church will officiate. Memorials to the Center for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing are appreciated (10243 W. National Ave. West Allis, WI 53227). Myrhum-Patten Funeral & Cremation Service is assisting the family.
