Lovon Edna Seyfert, 96, of Fond du Lac, formerly of Crivitz passed away on June 3, 2011.
She was born on October 12, 1914, in Plymouth, the daughter of the late Raymond and Anna (Halle) Mayhew, and on June 29, 1935, she was united in marriage to Raymond Seyfert, Sr. Raymond preceded Lovon in death on April 18, 1994.
Lovon devoted her life to raising her children. She loved gardening, canning, playing cards and especially playing Scrabble.
Those that Lovon leaves behind to cherish her memory are Patricia (Ralph) Johnson of Onaga, Kansas, Janice Volbright of Byron, Jean Seyfert of Tampa, Florida, Nancy Andrews of South Byron, Betty Ryan of Oakfield, Jack (Patti) Seyfert of Oakfield, Gary (Ann) Seyfert of Oakfield, Glenn (Jackie) Seyfert of Peshtigo, Wisconsin and a sister, Joan (Buzz) Boehme of Johnson Creek, a brother-in-law, Calvin (Dolores) Seyfert of Pound, Wisconsin and a sister-in-law, Virginia Mayhew of Fond du Lac. In addition to their children, Lovon and Raymond raised two grandchildren, Kurt Seyfert of Crivitz and Shelly Steeno of DePere.
Lovon also had 20 grandchildren, Mark (Sandy) Ryan, Joseph (Michelle) Ryan, Gary (Jacqueline) Ryan, Greg (Melissa) Ryan, Billy (Stacey) Ryan, Danny (Andrea) Ryan, Lauren (Jerimiah) Prochnow, Kyle Seyfert, Erik (Angie) Seyfert, Michelle Shultis, Jason Seyfert, Darren (Michelle) Volbright, Dennis Volbright, Kevin (Stephanie) Volbright, Sandy (special friend, Saul) Collier, Julie (Charlie) Bast, Brenda Hanks, Wednesday (Jesse) Smith, Chad Seyfert, Jennifer (Justin) Fritz, 7 step-grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, 9 step great-grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren and 4 step great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, Lovon was preceded in death by two sons, Richard and Raymond, Jr., sons-in-law, John Ryan, Richard Hofer, Charlie Andrews, and Bruce Volbright, daughters-in-law, Joy Seyfert and Loretta Seyfert, a grandson, Timothy Hanks, sisters, Opal Mayhew, Blanche Willie, Arietta Willis, and Mildred “Milly” Nichols, a brother, Willard Mayhew, and many brothers and sisters-in-law.
Funeral services for Lovon were held on Tuesday, June 7, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. at Trinity United Methodist Church, 300 Church Street in Lomira with Rev. Kerry Wilson officiating. Burial followed the service in Brownsville Cemetery, Brownsville.
The family received visitors at the church on Tuesday from 12:00 noon until the time of services.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Agnesian Hospice Hope in Fond du Lac.
The Kietzer-Miller Funeral Home in Lomira was entrusted with Lovon's arrangements.
