Lucille N. Gosse, age 93, of West Bend, passed away Monday November 3, 2014 at Harvest Home-Hickory Haus in West Bend.
She was born on June 26, 1921 in Theresa to the late Adolph and Alma (nee Bonack) Enderle. Lucille attended Dodge County Normal School and graduated from Mayville High School in the class of 1939. She later attended the Technical College in Beaver Dam where she received her L.P.N. license. Lucille was united in marriage to Willus Ziegenbein on June 30, 1946 in Horicon. He preceded her in death in 1953. Lucille later married James Gosse on May 1, 1965 in Slinger. He preceded her in death in 1985.
Lucille worked at the West Bend Company during WW II. After receiving her nursing license she worked at the Hartford Hospital before spending many years working at the Samaritan Health Center. She retired in 1982.
Lucille was a member of Good Shepherd Ev. Lutheran Church and the Church Ladies League. She enjoyed traveling, crocheting, fishing, and baking, especially coffee Kucken and Christmas stolen.
She is survived by a son, Dean (Pat) Ziegenbein of Apple Valley, MN; two step-children, Marion Southoff of Jackson, and Alex (Betsey) Gosse of Salt Lake City, UT; two grandchildren, Mark (Michelle) Ziegenbein of Apple Valley, MN, and Ann Marie Ziegenbein of Hopkins, MN; a great grandson, Joshua Ziegenbein; 11 step-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Lorraine Enderle of Lomira; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Lucille was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands; a sister and her husband, Hazel & Arnold Schaumberg; and a brother, Wilbur "Yutch" Enderle.
Funeral services in remembrance of Lucille will be held on Friday November 7th at 11:00 am at Good Shepherd Ev. Lutheran Church (777 Indiana Ave.) West Bend. Pastors Robert Hein and John Paustian will co-officiate. A time of fellowship will follow, after which burial will take place in Washington County Memorial Park. Visitation will be at the church Friday from 9:00 am until the time of service.
Memorials to Good Shepherd Church or the American Cancer Society are appreciated by the family.
