Lucille M. "Lucie" Laetsch, nee Doege, age 85, of West Bend, found Eternal peace with God on Friday, November 16, 2012 at Cedar Lake Health and Rehabilitation Center in West Bend.
She was born on May 23, 1927 in Milwaukee to the late Hugo and Malinda (nee Seeger) Doege. On April 23, 1949, Lucie was united in marriage to Robert Laetsch.
After retiring in 1981, Bob and Lucie moved from Milwaukee to Minocqua. In 1994, they made West Bend their home.
Lucie worked as a computer operator for U.S. Bank, formerly First Wisconsin.
She was a member of Zion Ev. Lutheran Church and the Zion Church Choir.
Lucie was the loving mother of Randall (D'Ann) Laetsch and Nancy (friend, Bert Joseph) Metcalf; adoring grandma to Erin Williams and Kelsey Laetsch. She will also be remembered by her sister, Carol Schrubbe, nieces, nephews, cousins; other relatives, and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband, Bob; and her sister, Myrtle Maynard.
A Christian Memorial service in remembrance of Lucie will be held on December 29th at 2:00 p.m. at Zion Ev. Lutheran Church, 6430 Hwy. D, Allenton. Rev. Steve Bode will officiate. Visitation will be at the church from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service. Inurnment will be in Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery.
