Lucille Nigh, age 69, of the town of Ashford, passed away at her home on Monday, February 27, 2006 with her loving family at her side.
She was born on February 19, 1937 in Barron, the daughter of the late Alvin and Helen (Nerling) Miller and on July 17, 1982, she was united in marriage to Robert Nigh at St. John Lutheran Church in New Fane.
Lucille was an Avon representative for several years and a Girl Scout leader. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in New Fane and the Ladies Aid. She enjoyed gardening, especially flowers, and driving her 1952 Studebaker.
Survivors include her husband, Robert; five children, Anthony (Tamara) Henning of Grayling, Michigan, Terry (Tracy) Henning of Madison, Walter “Bill” Henning, III (fiancée, Ronda Krenn) of North Fond du Lac, Brenda (Don) Gellings of Mt. Calvary and Susan (Martin) Lowden of West Bend; two stepdaughters, Sherri (Paul) Hipol of Mineral Wells, Texas and Robin Slottke of Henrietta, Texas; 20 grandchildren, a great-granddaughter, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by a stepson, Steven Nigh.
Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 2, 2006 at St. John Lutheran Church, N665 Highway S, Kewaskum (New Fane). Rev. Mark Eckert officiated and burial followed in the church cemetery.
Friends called from 3:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 1 at the Miller Funeral Home in Kewaskum and at the church on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services.
