Lucy A. Bauman

Lucy A. Bauman, 93, of Random Lake, passed away on Monday, September 3, 2007, at Beach Health Care Center in Sheboygan.


She was born on March 22, 1914, in Milwaukee, the daughter of the late Anthony and Julia (Kaminski) Chmielewski and on September 11, 1937, she was united in marriage to Arthur E. Bauman in Milwaukee. Her husband preceded her in death on January 25, 1998.


Lucy was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in the Town of Scott and the Women’s Evening Guild. She was a longtime former member of Garden Homes Lutheran Church in Milwaukee.


Survivors include a daughter, Barbara (Dale R.) Winkler of Random Lake; four grandchildren, Susan (William) Mosuch, Michael Winkler, Sandra (Dale) Wulff and David (Kim) Winkler; eight great-grandchildren, William (April) Mosuch, Ashley Wulff (fiancé, James Ostrowski), Allysa Mosuch (fiancé, Dave Makler), Aaron Wulff, Danielle Haworth, Elizabeth Wulff, Brendan Winkler and Kaylee Winkler; a niece and goddaughter, GloryAnn (Tom) Richards of Port Washington; a great-niece, Julie Richards, other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.


In addition to her husband and parents, Lucy was preceded in death by two sisters, Lillian Haglund and Eleanor Chmielewski and two brothers, John Chmiel and Sylvester “Fritz” Chmiel.


Funeral services for Lucy were held at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 11, 2007, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in the Town of Scott(1 1/2 miles straight south of Beechwood on Highway
A, then Highway HH). Rev. Kurt Ziemann officiated and entombment was on Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at Wisconsin Memorial Park in Brookfield.


Relatives and friends called on Tuesday at the church from 3:30 p.m. until the time of services.

Lucy’s family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the third floor staff and therapy staff at Beach Health Care Center in Sheboygan for the kind, compassionate care provided to Lucy.
