Lynn R. Turner-Mertzig, 52, of the town of Barton, passed away on Saturday, December 3, 2005 at her residence.
She was born on February 11, 1953 in West Bend to the late William and June (nee Otten) Turner. She attended St. Mary's Grade School and West Bend East High School, graduating in 1971. She then attended Moraine Park Technical College in Fond du Lac, receiving an accounting degree. Lynn married Daniel Mertzig on April 15, 1989 in West Bend.
She was employed at Wesbar in the shipping and receiving department for many years, retiring in 1989. She enjoyed gardening, drawing, and crafts, but most of all she enjoyed time with her family.
She is survived by her husband, Dan Mertzig; three sons, Lance Mertzig, Christopher Mertzig, and Robert Mertzig, all of West Bend; three step-children, Tina Mertzig, Guy (Angie) Mertzig, and Danielle Mertzig, all of Sheboygan; two grandchildren, Veronica and Nicholas Mertzig; three brothers, Gene (Kris) Turner, John Turner, and Scott (Julie) Turner, all of West Bend; a brother-in-law, Milton Mertzig, Jr. of Juneau; special friends of her sons, Katie Pinnow and Noelle Selbo; other relatives and friends.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 7 at 7:00 p.m. at the Myrhum - Patten Funeral Home, West Bend, with Rev. Francis Baiocchi officiating. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. until the time of service. Burial will be in Newark Cemetery in the town of Barton on Thursday at 10:00 a.m.
