Mae "Mary" Catherine Fay

Mae “Mary” Catherine Fay, 85, of Boltonville, passed away on Monday, June 7, 2010, at her home.


She was born on May 12, 1925, in the town of Farmington, the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (McKee) Riley, and on February 18, 1950, she was united in marriage to Thomas Francis Fay at St. John of God Catholic Church in the town of Farmington. Her husband preceded her in death on November 30, 1988.


For many years, Mae worked at Tecumseh Products in Grafton. She was a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church in St. Michaels, St. John of God Catholic Chapel in the town of Farmington and the Boltonville Sportsman’s Club.


Mae will fondly be remembered for the joy she received from bird watching, camping, sitting in rowboat fishing and traveling. Seeing Ireland was a highlight of her travels. She will be sadly missed by her family and by all who knew her.


Those Mae leaves behind to cherish her memory include four children Kathleen (Gene) Wenzlaff of Campbellsport, Kevin (Chris) Fay, Kerry “Pat” Fay and Thomas (Karen) Fay all of Boltonville; eight grandchildren, Barry (Renee) Wenzlaff of the town of Wayne, Shannon (Steve) Schill of Campbellsport, Shad Wenzlaff of Madison, Holly (Steve) Feucht of Eden, Korey Fay and Colton Fay both of Boltonville, Carissa Fay of Batavia, Joseph Fay (fiancée, Erin) of Ixonia; two step-grandchildren, Jessie and Josh of Boltonville; seven great-grandchildren, Caitlynn, Morgan and Brittany Wenzlaff, Luke and Kristin Schill, Levi and Peyton Feucht all at home; a sister, Irene Gahagan of Fond du Lac, formerly of Cascade; three sisters-in-law, Doris Riley of Gainesville, Florida, Loretta Riley of West Bend and June Fay of West Bend, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.


In addition to her husband and parents, Mae was preceded in death by five brothers, Harold (Katherine), William (Clara), Frank (Anna Lee), Melvin and Gerald Riley; a sister, Helen (Greg) Theusch; three brothers-in-law, Tom Gahagan, Robert Fay and Eugene Fay; two sisters-in-law, Joanne Link and Sharon (Ronald) Petermann.


A Mass of Christian Burial for Mae was held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 10, 2010, at St. John of God Catholic Chapel in the town of Farmington. Father Edwin Kornath officiated and burial was at 10:00 a.m. on Friday in St. John of God Catholic Cemetery in the town of Farmington.


Relatives and friends called on Thursday at the chapel from 5:00 p.m. until the time of Mass.
