Margaret M. “Marge” Blank, 92, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, December 15, 2009. She passed away peacefully at her home in Fond du Lac.
She was born on September 12, 1917, in Hartland, the daughter of the late Edward M. and Ada O. (Cowles) Crouch, and on May 22, 1937, she was united in marriage to Edward C. Blank. They had 52 wonderful years of marriage before he preceded her in death on December 11, 1989.
Marge loved the Lord and was a very active member of the congregation of Oakfield United Methodist Church in Oakfield. She served on numerous committees and was the long time president of the Ladies Fellowship.
Over the years she loved to spend time in her garden and flowerbeds especially taking pride in her “glads”. She will be remembered for the dozens of wedding cakes, anniversary cakes and other special occasion cakes she made. They are too numerous to count. She also loved to sing and listen to church hymns and was an avid reader.
Those she leaves behind to cherish her memory include three children, Donna (Lee) Radke of Fairfield Bay, Arkansas, Charles (Joanne) Blank of Appleton and Kenneth (Sharon) Blank of Ashland City, Tennessee; eight grandchildren, Scott (Sheila) Radke, Cindy Radke, Nancy (Paul) Behling, Edward (Gina) Blank, Andrew (Emily) Blank, Jonathan (Joy) Blank, Robert (Heather) Mutto and Rachel Blank; 15 great-grandchildren, Joel (Issie) Radke, Brooke Radke, Joshua Beske, Krissy (Todd) Ebner, Valerie Behling, Samuel Blank, Aleda Blank, Noelle Blank, Zachary Blank, Jacob Blank, Jenna Blank, Jordan Blank, Jayden Blank, Evan Mutto and Conner Mutto; three great-great-grandchildren, Martin Radke, Grace Radke and Liam Ebner; a sister, Rachel Wilson of Appleton; a niece, Darlene (nee Crouch) Russo, many loving cousins, other relatives and dear friends.
In addition to her husband and parents, Marge was preceded in death by her brother and his wife, Wayne and Marian Crouch; her brother-in-law, Dan Wilson; her daughter, Janet Blank and her granddaughter, Wanda (nee Radke) Blank.
Funeral services for Marge were held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 18, 2009, at Oakfield United Methodist Church, 220 Main Street in Oakfield. Rev. James Droste officiated and burial followed in the Byron Cemetery in the town of Byron.
