Margaret A. "Schnookie" DeCaluwe, nee Stautner, age 81, of Jackson, passed away Monday September 6, 2004 at St. Joseph's Community Hospital, West Bend.
She was born on September 16, 1922 in Milwaukee to the late Michael and Anna (nee Becker) Stautner. On September 30, 1950 Schnookie was united in marriage to Lester DeCaluwe at Holy Angels Catholic Church in Milwaukee. Together they made their home and raised their family on the DeCaluwe family farm in the town of Polk.
Schnookie's greatest enjoyment and love was her family, taking care of her home, and cooking. She was a wonderful cook.
She is survived by five children, Rosanne Kreklow, Randy (Debbie) DeCaluwe, Margo DeCaluwe, Mark DeCaluwe, and Michael (Deb) DeCaluwe; Six grandchildren, Kerri, Kevin, Ryan, Craig, Greta, and Heidi; A great-granddaughter Amanda; other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by ten sisters and brothers.
It was Margaret's request that private family graveside services be held at Washington County Memorial Park.
