Margaret L. Driessel, nee Otto, age 94, of West Bend, passed away Tuesday, January 11, 2011 at Cedar Lake Health and Rehabilitation Center in West Bend.
She was born on October 31, 1916 in West Bend to the late Rev. Alfred and Rosa Marie (nee Roth) Otto. Margaret graduated from West Bend High School in the class of 1934. She went on to attend Mount Sinai Hospital School of Nursing in Milwaukee, graduating in 1937. She was united in marriage to Richard H. Driessel, M.D. on September 19, 1939 in Dubuque, IA.
Margaret was a member of the Washington County Historical Society, Barton Historical Society, West Bend Art Museum, and the Lac Lawrann Conservancy.
She is survived by her son, Kenneth R. Driessel, PhD. of Nevada, IA; two grandchildren, Dr. Duncan (Dr. Jennifer) Stearns and Deborah Stearns, PhD.; two great-grandchildren, Aidan and Chloe Stearns; sisters-in-law, Harriet Driessel Andersen and Carol Wenger Otto; other relatives and friends.
Margaret was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her daughter, Nancy Driessel Stearns; sisters-in-law, Clara Otto and Louise Mand Otto, and four brothers, Wesley, Albert, Wilbur and Paul Otto.
In honor of Margaret's wishes a private family memorial service will be held. Inurnment will be in Holy Angels Cemetery.
