Margaret M. Grotelueschen (nee Krejci), age 80, of Mayville, passed away on Tuesday, April 24th surrounded by her loving family at the Cedar Lake Health and Rehabilitation Center in West Bend.

Margaret was born on October 10, 1931 in West Bend to the late Ed and Clara (nee Groeschel) Krejci. She graduated from West Bend High School in 1950 and from the Milwaukee County School of Nursing in 1953. Following college, Margaret began working as a nurse at St. Joseph's Hospital in West Bend. On October 16, 1954, Margaret was united in marriage to John Grotelueschen in West Bend. They spent the first 12 years of their life together on working a dairy farm in Saukville. During that time they were blessed with six sons over an eight year period. They moved from Saukville to the Mayville area in 1966. Five years later they were blessed with a little girl. In 1981 they purchased the Hillcrest Inn. Margaret spent many hours working on the farm and at the Hillcrest Inn until she was forced to slow down due to health problems. Over the years, Margaret was an active member of the Ladies Aid at her church and belonged to home makers. She was a member of two card clubs and enjoyed playing cards.

Margaret was a very loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She was very proud of her family and never forgot a birthday or anniversary. She loved socializing with friends and family. The more people the better.

Margaret is survived by her husband, John of Mayville; her five children, John (Brenda) Grotelueschen of Mayville, Jay (Melinda) Grotelueschen of La Crosse, Jeff (Mary) Grotelueschen of Waunakee, Jim (Colleen) Grotelueschen of Watertown, and Jill (John) Tinder of Belgium; 15 grandchildren, Matthew (Sarah), Michael, Elizibeth, Jacob, Kyle, Kathilynne, Kevin (Brittany), Andrew, Sean, Grant, Lindsey, Amanda, Grace, Sarah, and Emily; and one great-granddaughter Ava Margaret.
