Margaret L. Kalmus, 81, of rural Brownsville, passed away on Wednesday, October 3, 2012, at her home with her family at her side.
She was born on July 1, 1931, in North Carolina, the daughter of the late Arthur and Susan (Joyner) Nobles, and on October 1, 1949, she was united in marriage to Robert “Bob” Kalmus in South Carolina.
Those Margaret leaves behind to cherish her memory include her loving husband of 63 years, Bob; seven children, Margaret (Dennis) Norum of Palmer, Texas, Robert W. (Chris) Kalmus of Appleton, Bonnie (Mike) Zwirlien of Collierville, Tennessee, Betty (Karol) Salata of Sheboygan Falls, Richard (Maureen) Kalmus of Fond du Lac, David Kalmus of Eden and Ronald (Jodi) Kalmus of Oshkosh; a brother, Arthur (Theresa) Nobles of West Bend, 66 grandchildren and great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, Margaret was preceded in death by a brother, Carson Nobles and four sisters, Thelma Todd, Annie Nobles, Nellie Nobles and Mabel McKinney.
A memorial service for Margaret was held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, October 8, 2012, at the Kietzer-Miller Funeral Home in Lomira with Rev. Jim Cieszynski officiating.
Margaret’s family received visitors at the funeral home on Monday from noon until the time of services.
