Margaret A. Jung, 95, of Kewaskum, passed away on Wednesday, February 5, 2014, at Samaritan Health Center in West Bend.
She was born on July 17, 1918, in Nabob, the daughter of the late Gerhard and Anna Mary (Seubert) Thorn, and on May 18, 1938 she was united in marriage to Norbert Jung at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Allenton. Norbert preceded Margaret in death on April 11, 1993.
Margaret was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Kewaskum. She will fondly be remembered as an excellent cook, one who enjoyed growing flowers and was a devout catholic. She will be deeply missed by her family and by all who know her.
Those Margaret leaves behind to cherish her memory include two children, David Jung of the town of Kewaskum and Marlene (John) Klahn of Beechwood; seven grandchildren, Daniel (Jeanette) Jung, Joan (Jane) Jung, Brian Jung, Laura (Tom) Boden, Michelle (Mark) Ringwell, Annette (Mike) Vetter and Kevin (Jessica) Klahn; eight great-grandchildren, Adam (April) Jung, Alyssa (special friend Zack) Jung, Brianna Jung, Megan Ringwell, Matthew Ringwell, Serena Vetter, Chloe Vetter and Emma Klahn; two great-great-granddaughters, Ellie Jung and Lyla O'Brien; a sister-in-law, Sheila Thorn of New Jersey, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to her husband and parents, Margaret was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Annabelle; a daughter-in-law, Marilyn Jung; two brothers, Peter (Gertrude) Thorn and Walter Thorn; a brother-in-law, Edwin (Adeline) Junk; four sisters-in-law, Lucille (Henry) Eilbes, Cecilia (Albert) Knoeck, Dorothy (Walter) Kandel and Kathryn (Alois) Eilbes.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Margaret was held at 6:30 p.m. on Sunday, February 9, 2014, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Kewaskum. Father Edwin Kornath officiated and burial was at 10:00 a.m. on Monday in St. Michaels Catholic Church Cemetery in St. Michaels.
The Jung family received relatives and friends at the church on Sunday from 4:00 p.m. until the time of Mass.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to Holy Trinity Catholic Church are appreciated.
The Miller Funeral Home in Kewaskum was entrusted with Margaret's arrangements.
The Jung family extends their heartfelt appreciation to the staff of the Samaritan Health Center and Seasons Hospice for the compassionate care provided to Margaret.
