Margaret M. “Maggie” Seideman, 80, of West Bend, passed away on October 14, 2024, at Cedar Community in West Bend, Wisconsin.

Maggie was born on March 8, 1944, in Port Washington, Wisconsin the daughter of the late Fred and Esther (nee Weber) Dowe. Maggie’s roots were firmly planted on a dairy farm in Mequon where she grew up surrounded by the rhythms of rural life. She made history as part of the first graduating class of Homestead High School in 1962, and soon after, she followed her calling to become a nurse, graduating from Mount Sinai School of Nursing in 1965.

In the same year, she married Dennis, the love of her life for 42 years, on July 24, 1965, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Lakefield. Together they ran a dairy farm near Kewaskum, raising their children with love and care. Her career spanned three decades in the ICU and Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation at Saint Joseph’s Hospital in West Bend, where her dedication and compassion touched many lives.

Her volunteer work with Immanuel UCC in West Bend, Interfaith Caregivers, and Cedar Community, where she lived since 2018, showcased her generous spirit and commitment to helping others. Her life was a rich tapestry of love, service, and community involvement including her golf leagues that extended into Arizona at the Sunbird Golf Resort and community - she loved her group of gals! Her enthusiasm also shone through in shuffleboard, book clubs, and card clubs at the Senior Center and Cedar Community.
