Margery Sophia Forester, nee Struebing, 96, was called to her Heavenly Home at the Cedar Lake Health & Rehabilitation Center on Monday, January 17, 2011.
Margery was born August 28, 1914, in the town of Wayne to the late William and Mary (nee Brandt) Struebing. She married G. W. Forester on June 1, 1940, at Salem United Church of Christ, Wayne. She and her husband owned and operated the Oliver Farm Implement and Hardware Store in Wayne until 1955. They also sold Ford automobiles and operated Forester's Rancher Bar in West Bend. She later worked many years at Cedar Community. Her husband passed away February 27, 1985.
Besides her love for her family, she loved her church and music. From a young age on, she played organ and piano at Salem United Church of Christ, Immanuel United Church of Christ and Cedar Community. She was a faithful member of Immanuel United Church of Christ.
She is survived by her loving sons, Dallas (Patricia) Forester of Lincoln, CA, Curtis (Jeanne) Forester of West Bend, and Carrol (Patricia) Forester of Kewaskum. She is also survived by five grandchildren, Christopher (Melissa) Forester of Nashville, TN, Gayle (Bob) London of Bucklin, MO, Craig (Nicole) Forester of Boston, MA, Julie (Mark) Molsky of Glen Ellyn, IL, and Brian Forester of Foster City, CA; two step-grandchildren, Michael (Jennifer) Stopar of Campbellsport and Therese (Shawn) Martin of West Bend; and two great-grandchildren, Ian and Lola.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brothers, Wilmer and Milton Struebing. Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 7 at 1:30 p.m. at the Myrhum - Patten Funeral Home, 1315 W. Washington St., West Bend. Rev. Rich Vincent of Immanuel United Church of Christ will officiate and burial will follow in Washington County Memorial Park, West Bend. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Monday, February 7 from 11:30 a.m. until the time of service.
