Marie E. Hestekin (formerly Donnelly), age 64, of the town of Trenton, was called home to her eternal rest on Sunday, May 14, 2006 at the Cedar Springs Health and Rehabilitation Center in Cedarburg.
She was born on November 22, 1941, in Uniontown PA, to the late Franklin and Kathern (nee Glagola) Rifenburg. After her high school graduation, she married Gary Donnelly and had four wonderful children. Marie was a very hard worker and was employed at Tecumseh in Grafton as a general assembly person for the past 40 years. On July 5, 1996 she was united in marriage to Arthur Hestekin in West Bend. He preceded her in death on January 29, 2005.
Marie loved animals, especially her dog Rusty, and her two Macaws, Ruby and Butchy. She was an avid bowler and liked playing sheepshead with her card club. Marie also enjoyed going up north and loved shopping, especially for candy. Her strong will and good sense of humor will be deeply missed.
She is survived by her three children, Debbie (Andy) Leitheiser, Diana Donnelly, and Rodney (Amy) Donnelly; nine grandchildren, Tina, Rachel, Charlie, Renee, Valerie, Brandon, Danielle, Jordan, and Zachary; 4 great-grandchildren, Brandon, Lacy, Justin, and Breann; a sister Clara Ann King; and many other relatives and dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her son, Jeffery Donnelly; and her sister, Anita Taylor.
A funeral service in celebration of Marie's life will be held on Thursday, May 18, 2006 at 7:00 pm at the Myrhum-Patten Funeral Home in West Bend. Rev. David Schoob of Trinity Lutheran Church will officiate. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Thursday from 4:00 pm until the time of service.
