Marilyn B. Denetz, nee Abraham, age 74, of West Bend, passed away on Friday, December 31, 2010 at The Kathy Hospice.
She was born on July 9, 1936 in Milwaukee to the late Charles and Jean (nee Hensiak) Abraham. At the age of 15, Marilyn was taken out of school and sent to work at a foundry where she worked the ovens as a core maker for 3 A½ years. She went on to work for Oster Corporation where she met the love of her life, her supervisor, Alfred Denetz. On June 30, 1956, they were united in marriage at Augustana Ev. Lutheran Church in Milwaukee. She remained at Oster Corp. for 3 years. Following that, she began working for Brady Corporation as a supervisor in Packaging and Shipping. Marilyn retired from Brady Corp. after 35 years of employment with them.
She was a lifetime member of the Ladies Auxiliary VFW Fred Schaefer Post #1393. She was also a longtime member of the Women of the Moose.
Marilyn is survived by her daughter, Lyn Marie (Glen) Albers of West Bend; two sisters, Rosemarie Nelson of West Bend and Carol Camp of Glendale; a sister-in-law, Doris Horn of New York; nieces; nephews; and many wonderful friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Al; her son, Scott Alan Denetz; sister, Geraldine Fults and brother, Donald Abraham.
A memorial service in remembrance of Marilyn will be held on Saturday, January 8th at 1:00 pm at Trinity Lutheran Church, 140 N. 7th Avenue, West Bend. Rev. David Schoob and Rev. Christy Schoob will officiate. Visitation will be at the church on Saturday from 10:00 am until the time of the service.
Memorials to The Kathy Hospice or Trinity Lutheran Church are appreciated by the family.
