Marion R. (Ramthun) Kachel

Marion R. Kachel, 94, of West Bend, formerly of Cedarburg, was called home to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 12, 2021, at Cedar Lake Health and Rehabilitation Center.

Marion loved life and was a devoted member of Immanuel Church of Christ in West Bend. Some of her favorite pastimes included traveling with her grandsons and going on cruises. Whenever she was out on an adventure, she had her camera ready. Her grandsons knew to stand for a picture and to disregard the “Do Not Enter Sign” as she tried to capture the perfect photo. Her greatest gift to her family is the many pictures of adventures and memories they each had with her. She enjoyed many luncheons with her friends, reading, and watching baseball. She is fondly remembered for being a sharp dresser, with not a hair out of place no matter the weather or day. She will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her.

Those Marion leaves behind to cherish her memory is her daughter, Nancy Wirtz; her five grandchildren, Dwight (Rachel) Roell Jr., Dean (Naomi) Roell, Matthew Goike, Aaron (Rachel) Goike, and Adam (Carlie) Goike; and two great-grandsons, Preston and Grayson Roell.

In addition to her parents, Marion is preceded in death by her husband, William “Bill” Kachel; and son, Gary Wolf.

A private family service will be held. The family asks that you would please remember her kind and loving spirit.

The family extends special thanks to the staff, in the Sunshine household, at Cedar Lake Health and Rehabilitation Center. Her caregivers knew how to make her smile especially when she was given her favorite snack cakes.
