Marion P. Mitchell, 88, of Kewaskum, passed away on Thursday, September 6, 2007, at Villa Loretto Nursing Home in Mt. Calvary with her daughters at her side.
She was born on November 4, 1918, in Lena, the daughter of the late John and Pearl (Drolette) Kinziger and on June 3, 1941, she was united in marriage to C. Ernest “Ernie” “Doc” Mitchell in Lena, Wisconsin. Her husband preceded her in death on April 9, 2004.
Marion was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Kewaskum and the Christian Women. She was also a member of the Kewaskum Women’s Club, a charter member of Hon-E-Kor Country Club in Kewaskum and a Girl Scout leader for many years. Marion enjoyed playing cards in numerous card clubs in Kewaskum and Campbellsport, and she was an avid Milwaukee Brewer and Green Bay Packer fan.
Marion was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She will be deeply missed by her family and by all who knew her.
Survivors include two daughters, Pat Carriveau (Fred Herman) of Campbell, California and Pam Mitchell of Itasca, Illinois; two grandchildren, Chris (Ann) Carriveau and Danielle Carriveau; two great-grandchildren, Taylor and Ryan Carriveau; a sister, Eva Armstrong of Green Bay; a sister-in-law, Marie Kinziger; a brother-in-law, Bob (Ruth) Mitchell of Mineral Point, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to her husband and parents, Marion was preceded in death by a brother, John Kinziger and a brother-in-law, Clarence Armstrong.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Marion was held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, September 10, 2007 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church 331 Main St. in Kewaskum. Father Edwin Kornath and Father Elroy Pesch O.F.M. Cap. concelebrated and burial followed in the parish cemetery.
Relatives and friends called on Monday at the church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services.
Memorials to the Kewaskum High School Athletic Department or Villa Loretto Nursing Home were appreciated.
