Marion S. Moritz, 74, of West Bend, passed away Sunday, December 2, 2007 at the Cedar Lake Health Care Center, West Bend.

She was born on January 29, 1933 at home on the family farm in the town of Addison to the late Oscar and Rosalia (nee Ritger) Moritz.

Marion attended St. Anthony Catholic School and was a lifetime member of St. Anthony Catholic Church until the church's closing. Marion then became a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church.

Marion loved flowers and gardening. She also loved her cats and chickens. She enjoyed many crafts, especially making beaded ornaments for her nieces and nephews.

She is survived by a sister, Laverne Moritz of West Bend; a brother, Lloyd (Barbara) Moritz of West Bend; an aunt, Dorothy Ritger of West Bend; four nieces, Sue (Patrick) Wendt of Hartford, Agnes (Eric) Dietenberger of Hartford, Theresa (Scott) Meyer of West Bend, and Laura Moritz of West Bend; a nephew, Peter Moritz of West Bend; a great-niece, Mellissa Wendt; four great-nephews, Joseph Wendt, A.J. Dietenberger, Zack Dietenberger, and Jacob Meyer; other relatives and friends. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, December 6 at 11:30 a.m. at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, 4886 Hwy. 175, Hartford. Rev. Joseph Dominic will officiate and burial will follow in St. Anthony Cemetery in the town of Addison. Visitation will be at the Myrhum - Patten Funeral Home on Wednesday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. and at the church on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service.

Memorials to St. Lawrence Parish or Cedar Community would be appreciated.

The family would like to offer a special thank you to the Emergency Department at St. Joseph's Hospital in West Bend, the NICU staff at Froedtert Hospital, especially Dr. Lynch and Dr. Wolfe, the staff of the Cedar Lake Health Care Center, and Cedar Community Hospice, especially Scott Kegley, for the wonderful care given to Marion.
