Marion G. Bunkelman, 89, of Kewaskum, entered eternal life on Thursday, July 18, 2013, with her family by her side.
She was born on September 18, 1923, in Boltonville, the daughter of the late Arthur and Amanda (Becker) Groeschel, and on June 29, 1946, she was united in marriage to Edward Bunkelman at St. John's Evangelical Reformed Church in Boltonville. Edward preceded Marion in death on November 25, 1982.
Marion was a member of Peace United Church of Christ in Kewaskum. She worked for a short time at Amity in West Bend and was president of Bunkelman Builders for 18 years. She was very proud her sons followed in their father's footsteps by working in the construction field.
Marion enjoyed her family along with playing cards, crocheting, needlepoint, collecting coins, watching the hummingbirds outside her home, puzzles and NASCAR racing. She will be deeply missed by her family and by all who knew her.
Those Marion leaves behind to cherish her memory include four sons, Lee (Deb) Bunkelman and Larry (Jan) Bunkelman both of Kewaskum, Lloyd (Linda) Bunkelman and Lowell (Lisa) Bunkelman both of Campbellsport; a brother, Roger (Judy) Groeschel of Kewaskum; a sister-in-law, Bernice (Bob) Scannell of Kewaskum; eight grandchildren, Lori (Rick) Ours and Scott Bunkelman both of Campbellsport, Tony (Laurie) Bunkelman of Mt. Pleasant, Tim (Melissa) Bunkelman of Two Rivers, Adam Bunkelman of USS Carl Vinson, San Diego, Amanda, Michael and Bradley Bunkelman all of Campbellsport; eight great-grandchildren, Crystal, Luke, Taylor, Devin, Tyler, Ashley, Amelia and Maelle, other relatives and friends.
In addition to her husband and parents, Marion was preceded in death by an infant son, Gerry.
Funeral services for Marion were held at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 21, 2013, at Peace United Church of Christ in Kewaskum. Rev. William Wiederanders officiated and burial followed in the church cemetery.
The Bunkelman family greeted relatives and friends at the church on Sunday from 1:30 p.m. until the time of services.
The Miller Funeral Home in Kewaskum was entrusted with Marion's arrangements.
The Bunkelman family extends their heartfelt appreciation to Serenity Hospice for the compassionate care provided to Marion, to Rev. Wiederanders for his comforting words, to Sherry McElhatton for providing service music, to Gateway Cafe and the ladies of Peace U.C.C. for their assistance and to the staff of Miller Funeral Home for their kindness and guidance. Your help as we have journeyed with Marion has touched us more than you know.
