Marjorie A. Bursack, nee Snyder, 89, of West Bend, passed away Friday, January 23, 2015 at the Kathy Hospice, West Bend.
She was born on July 12, 1925 in Avoca, WI to the late Walter and Della (nee Wonn) Snyder. She married Harold Strasse and Harold passed away on March 7, 1961. She then married Vilas "Vi" Bursack on May 16, 1964 in Milwaukee. Vi passed away on January 26, 2014.
Marj was employed as a customer service representative at Cutler-Hammer in Milwaukee for 30 years, retiring on May 31, 1983. After retirement, Marj and Vi moved to the West Bend area. She was a member of Fifth Ave. United Methodist Church in West Bend.
Marj is survived by a daughter, Cheryl (John) La Brie of Wind Lake; two grandsons, Todd (Jenny) Salnas of CA and Eric (Emily) Salnas of CA; three great-grandchildren, Abby, Drew and Luke; two sisters, Carol Dettl of Michigan and Kathryn Melgard of Pewaukee; many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Harold Strasse; her second husband, Vilas "Vi" Bursack; a sister, Shirley Martell; and three brothers, Glen Snyder, Robert Snyder, and Norbert Snyder.
A funeral service in remembrance of Marj will be held on Saturday, January 31 at 11:00 a.m. at the Myrhum - Patten Funeral Home, 1315 W. Washington St., West Bend. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service and a luncheon will be served following the service. Burial will be in Valhalla Memorial Park, Milwaukee.
