Marjorie M. Buss, 85, of Kewaskum, passed away on Wednesday, February 29, 2012, at Markesan Resident Home in Markesan.
She was born on August 27, 1926, in Barton, the daughter of the late Edwin and Selma (Klumb) Bartelt, and on September 10, 1949, she was united in marriage to Ivan Buss at St. Lucas Evangelical Lutheran Church in Kewaskum. Ivan preceded Marjorie in death on May 15, 1977.
Marjorie was a member of St. Lucas Evangelical Lutheran Church in Kewaskum and the Ladies Guild. She worked for many years at Rosenheimer’s Store in Kewaskum and later in the deli at Geidel’s Grocery Stores in Kewaskum.
Those Marjorie leaves behind to cherish her memory include three children, Charles (Carol) Buss of Manchester, Michael (Kay) Buss of Cascade and Jeri (Jeff) Lauritzen of Brookfield; a sister, Joyce (Roger) Schleif of Kewaskum; nine grandchildren, Craig (Rachel) Buss, Cristy (Mike) Buss Murray, Katie, Cara and Matt Lauritzen, Andrew and Aja Buss, Rob and Mike Crofts; six great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
In addition to her husband and parents, Marjorie was preceded in death by two brothers, Milton and Willard “Bill” Bartelt and a sister-in-law, Audrey Bartelt Jaraczewski.
Funeral services for Marjorie were held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 3, 2012, at St. Lucas Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1417 Parkview Drive in Kewaskum. Rev. Troy Swenson officiated and burial followed in Lutheran Memorial Park in Kewaskum.
Relatives and friends called at the church on Saturday from noon until the time of services.
The Miller Funeral Home in Kewaskum was entrusted with Marjorie’s arrangements.
