Marjorie M. "Margie" Kedinger, (nee Moll), passed away on Thursday, February 3, 2011 after a long struggle with heart disease and diabetes.
Born July 31, 1925 to her parents Frederick and Susan (nee Berres) Moll. She graduated from West Bend High School. In the years after graduating from high school she was employed by the government as a civil service employee and spent time in Marietta, Georgia at Forest Park Army Base as a clerk. She also worked at Woolworth's and Enger Kress.
On June 5, 1948 she was united in marriage to Sylvester "Syl" Kedinger at St Mary's Church in Barton. They made their home in the town of Barton in a home built on the family farm. Syl passed away on December 31, 1988.
After her marriage she spent her time raising her four children and spent summers canning and freezing produce from her garden. While raising her children she was active in the church, school and 4-H clubs volunteering and watching her children in many activities.
Margie was a woman ahead of her time. She enjoyed politics and was active in local and state elections as well as being on the election and appeals board for the town of Barton for many years. In the late 1960's she subdivided the family farm and later became a realtor. During her time as a realtor, a career she truly enjoyed, she met and assisted many people in their goal of finding the right home.
Retirement was spent with grandchildren, watching them in their many sports and school activities as well as being blessed with great grandchildren. Margie was very proud of her children and their accomplishments as well as those of her grandchildren.
She loved to grow flowers, garden, cook and crochet doilies. Many of the crochet doilies were given to her family, friends and those who helped her in so many different ways. Her favorite apple tree gave her years of apples for pies, kuchen, and sauce. She was also known for her famous potato salad and turkey sandwiches.
Those surviving Margie are her four children: Kris (Gene) Turner of West Bend, Jean Kruzan of Lake Geneva, Jim(Deb)Kedinger of Minocqua, Kevin (Sue)Kedinger of West Bend, her grand children: Jean (Willie)Klahn, Jennifer(Jeremy)Lenzendorf, Jackie Turner, Bobb Schroeder , Jessica Fleissner , Hollie Kedinger, Danny Kedinger , Jamie Kedinger, Jake (Amanda)Kedinger, Lindsey Kedinger, her great grandchildren, Alexis Klahn, Alexander, Elizabeth and Zachary Lenzendorf, Sophie Schroeder, Allison Fleissner, Nathan Kedinger, other relatives and friends.
As she enters her heavenly home she will be greeted by her parents Fred and Susan Moll, her husband Syl, her son Bobby, her parents-in-law Matt and Barbara Kedinger, sisters and brother s-in-laws, Gertrude(Clarence )Schickert, Marcella(Edward)Hosp, Joe(Dorothy)Kedinger, Art(Pearl)Kedinger, Margaret(Cornelius)Brodzeller and many loved aunts, uncles and friends.
A Funeral Service in honor of Margie will be held on Tuesday, February 8th at 7:00 pm at the Myrhum-Patten Funeral Home in West Bend. Pastoral Assistant Dan Schroeder of St. Mary's Catholic Church will preside. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery on Wednesday at 10:00 am. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Tuesday from 3:00 pm until the time of service at 7:00 pm.
Our family will be forever grateful to Dr. Weber and the dedicated caregivers at Samaritan Home in West Bend for the outstanding, efficient, compassionate and loving care given to Margie. They were her angels here on earth. May God bless each of you for your compassion and the loving care you give so unselfishly.
